(Fire)Fairy’s have POWer
I am often called a pixie, a fairy, or of that “realm” when I meet new people or in some of my pictures I totally look fairyaesque…. whatever that means, right?
The reason for this post is because I feel very close to the fairy realm or to our Earth lately. I do anyway, but right now… wow! I think it’s because I am doing everything EXCEPT hugging trees and spending time with the fairy’s. New job, less time, need to sleep, excuses, excuses I know… I am HUMAN too…
I decided about 6 or so months ago that I will start to describe myself as a “metal Fairy”. Ok I will explain…. I LOVE fire! I love watching fire! I love fire hooping! I even love fire photography! That’s a little edgy for a fairy… well not a fire fairy I guess. And then there’s the music thing… I love to rock out, to HARD, heavy tunes. I LIKE metal, I like punk, I like heavy dub beats along with good drum and bass. So I feel more comfortable saying I am a metal fairy. It says it all about me in 2 words! I love the Earth, our Mother and all the other Pixie’s and the like that watch over me daily, so it just fits me, right?!!
I was in my hoop the other night, just playing around, when I was thinking about fire, and fire hooping. So I got my gear together, my safety equipment and a friend( AND ALL her family…) and I started to practice out in the street. First with a LED hoop, just to get the feel, and to trip on some sweet lights and shapes! HA!! Then I “felt”, I felt the need to burn then, right then! So I lit up, and I was in love(again)! It was just me having fun and being inside this powerful element, no rules and no one telling me to try this or do that. I was just spinning, dancing and turning; feeling so calm and elated at the same time. It was over too quickly, so I lit up again! I was doing the same thing, not even noticing anyone there, just dancing and flowing around, but I was really tuned in that time! Then it was over, again.. I wasn’t ready so I lit up for a third time! This time I felt brave and in love with my sacred circle, and I really was TRYING to do some tricks, like I do with my non-fire hoop, then I got burned! Ouch!! I have been a bit singed before but I got a real good fire spine burn on my left arm. It hurt but I liked it… I liked that I got burned doing something I loved!
I had on a sleeveless shirt last night while out dancing and someone commented on my burn. It was cool to tell them what it was from, a good conversation starter to say the least!
I had started this post because I was remembering my feelings while hooping that night, I felt like a truly POWerful Fire Fairy, so much so that I had to write about it.
FIRE, a very amazing, powerful and bright element that needs respect and love. I am realizing it now, fire is one of my favorite things and I am truly a blessed person to have found this art and make it apart of my life!
