looking deeper for positive, good news in our world…

Today I thought I would write about things that add to my everyday bliss and add to the Earth’s positive vibrations. I have chose to be around and expose myself to things that are positive, creative, knowledge and are not fear-based. Unlike everything you see in main stream media, there are websites out there that choose to report only “good” news. We can all still keep up with politics and local and national news but we don’t have to buy into their ideals. We don’t have to be scared, being scared or in fear constantly is not good for our hearts, our breath, or our minds. I am reading this amazing book called “Wellness Workbook”. I not only am reading it, I am doing a lot of the exercises in the book. They discuss fear and being scared and how it effects our BEing to the core. “Weather the danger is real or imaginary makes little difference. Fear will create tension, and tension will affect the ability to breathe. What we percieve, believe, trust, and fear in our minds will spill over into the body and manifest in some way. There is simply no place where the mind stops and the body starts and vice versa.” That is a part of the book talking about being scared, and tension. I love books that show you and teach you things in an easy manner, this is one of those books.

One of the websites I look at for positive news on our world and on on our planet is the goodnewsnetwork.org. I have learned about people doing great things to save our planet or kids who are learning and then teaching other kids about recycling and saving Mother Earth. It’s empowering to know there are people out there reporting on things we can relate to. I know I can’t relate to anybody in Hollywood or whoever’s on the cover of US Magazine,or in the tabloid’s. Can you? I mean I don’t know them, will probably never meet them, let alone become their friend, so why should I be so interested inwhat they are doing? Which, from what I understand is not much, other than partying a lot and showing off designer clothes…. Wow, what substance….

I also look at my daily inspiration I get on my email everyday, that one is called, thedailyom.com(there is a link on my blogroll). I just recently started writing more positive vibes-type stuff on something called hubpages.com. I will put up a link to that as well. It is pretty cool, I found some great writing on health and wellness and even about some great bands and shows.

So I guess we can all learn to look a bit deeper for better news. I did and am glad I did too. I am tired of all the news channels ONLY reporting on these things. There is so much more out there and I want to know about those too!

Now that we have a new President, fear-based stuff may not have as much power in our media. Our old “leader” lived and breathed fear, you could tell, you could see in on his face. Barak Obama is at least happy, with a smile and carries an air of good energy about him. That is not fear-based, it’s courage and power. He has those things in his favor, so we have positivity in ours for once. Maybe American’s will not be laughed at quite so much….

I hope this has made you think. Don’t fall into the media trap, it’s crap. Whoa, I just made a rhyme, cool!! ;)

Good news to you and pass on the good story’s you see and hear, keep up the good vibes!

Bliss,

~Melissa Magic~
