Magic Bliss

Good Morning! It is a good Morning when you wake up, look out the window and see snow and sunshine in a place that usually doesn’t have either(especially this time of year). I knew it was going to be a very powerful day! The sun’s power is so vital. It has the most amazing energy and can pick up someone or something from the deepest funk. For me, going days and days without sun is like going days with out food. I feel starved, drained ‘hungry’, and lifeless. So here in the NW we have to enjoy it when it’s here and soak it all up!

There are always these “best of” list’s at the end of every year, so this year I created one. The following is “Melissa Magic’s Best of 2008″ but it’s not the same kind of list you would normally see(no best dressed….etc..) it’s just my FAVORITE things.

I bought a Chrysoprase pendant for my b-day and I am so glad I did….

Chrysoprase helps to make conscious what is/was unconscious. It strengthens the workings of insight and the higher consciousness and allows for one to heal.I wore it all summer and it “worked” the way it was supposed to!

The Goddess Alchemy Project!  All the ladies(and men too!) should check this band out. It’s pure, powerful energy, positive hip-hop, love! The songs are all about things we need to all think about, like the environment, goddesses(gods), love, allowing “source” to shine through us. And they are beautiful, positive , young women who can sing, free-style and their clothes… WOW!

Burningman….  I can’t describe it! Read all you want/can about it, but until you go you’ll never really “get” it, until your standing on the playa yourself, covered in the dust(and not even caring!) looking at the beautiful people, the art, and the community that is made right in front of you….. Eutopia…. in all senses of the word!!

This is a shout out to  a person not a “thing”. I got the privilege of camping next to an awesome woman who had gone to Burningman many,many times before. ( I was a virgin!) She helped me”learn” everyday,we went everywhere together! Dancing every night(we wanted to go to the same “clubs”). We shared breakfasts together and just had so much fun everyday, we were a team! Thanks Marcy Blue!! You and I Rocked the playa and we will AGAIN!

This is funny but, I love HOT stuff now! Hot food, hot sauces… you name it, I love it and can handle it! Hot salsa on warm tortilla chips(wiping drool off my chin now..). Siracha sauce(the one with the rooster on it)on pretty much everything. That one is thanks to Glen… It’s all your fault! Hot and sour soup with extra “hot” added at the end!

Positivity made her way back into my life and I so welcome her with a bigcuddly hug!

Love is of course essential to all things, all the time, everyday and I have it in my life everywhere I look. My friends who have helped me out, the people I meet on the street,all the folks I was able to surround myself with this past summer, love is even starting to “mainstream”. I see it being a bigger part of movies, it’s in what people are singing about, and it’s in tons of new books! I LOVE love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And finally I am a fan of Me! I am not being selfish. I am just loving the fact that I can love me again. That I can truly recognize my faults and still love the me I am supposed to be… Melissa magic,  I truly am Magic and I am here to turn the world around!

Have a wondeful start to 2009, think only positive things and add more love to whatever it is you do everyday!!!
